TPMS driving me BONKERS
#16
And to those who said "electrical tape", that is the current solution I am using. Not only is it ghetto but the light still annoys me and is also still visible from the passenger seat. If I am going to keep the car for any length of time I need to figure out what wire to cut to disable the LED.
I just ordered a shop manual on DVD and am going to figure out what I need to do here to get that done as soon as it comes.

The vehicle said one battery was low. The dealer replaced that sensor for $230. I picked the car up and the light came back on on the way home. I tried to play nice with this system, but it really isn't worth the cost since I don't need or want it. Next trip would be another $230 and who knows how many trips after that until I actually get it fixed. Then I'm sure 6 months down the line another sensor battery will go bad and it will be another $230. It just isn't worth it. Not only does it cost me money but hours of my time and tremendous inconvenience to get the car to the dealer and pick it back up. I've had it.
Cool story, bro.

What's that total, like $7-800 or so more out of my pocket for a system I truly don't want or need?
If I'm going to spend that kind of cash on this car I'm buying myself a brand new driver's seat rail before I bother with making the TPMS system work correctly.
All I want is the system (or even just the light) gone, and gone for good. I will never spend another single $ on this TPMS garbage again. That I can promise. I can afford to do it but now it's the principle of the whole thing that has my mind made up. It's a total and complete waste of my money that should be going to other things.

Here is a service bulletin for a 350z on the causes of tpms warning light staying on. There is a "long term fuse" that should be checked but dont know if its in your year G.

The threaded collar on one of mine cracked at the tip where the cap screws on.. (corrosion).. so you couldn't add air to the tire... got a new set of Conti Extreme DWS's at Discount Tire.. they always add a TPMS Rebuild kit (5.00 ea) when you buy tires, which replaces all of the mounting hardware and rubber seals. They replaced the cracked one for 70.00... they reset the system.. and all was good!
BTW.. my 04 G35x DOES have any ANNOYING as HELL alarm that goes off for what seems like 15 seconds when the sensor is tripped!?!

Well my shop manual came. The wiring diagram looks exactly like the one posted in the thread I linked to (see post #2 in this thread for link).
But here's the thing, I don't have any small 2 wire connectors coming off my BCM, just 2 huge ones with a ton of wires each.
Am I misinterpreting that thread/diagram? From what I gathered there was supposed to be a small 2-wire connector coming out of the BCM with the white wire that I need to cut, but I see nothing of the sort. Anyone have any idea?
