Replacing W with V rated tires

I have an '06 G35 auto sedan with sport suspension. I don't drive it hard. In fact, I'm only now about to replace the original set of tires, which are W rated 235/45/R18 94W's with 43,500 miles. I generally like the handling, but wouldn't mind a bit softer ride without sacrificing too much in braking, etc. Any thoughts on the wisdom of going with the same size tires in a V rating? Any particular recommendations in this regard?
Many thanks in advance.

The coupe tires run the gammet of W, V and Y rating for their 17/18/19" tires.

Probably not a terrible thing. You could run the slight problem if the tire place raises a stink about it. Dig tire rack . com and see what speed ratings they recommend for your 18s

Thanks. All of the tire emporiums are hot to sell the Vs, except the dealer, of course. Tirerack.com brings up Vs as well as Ws for my model and tire size.

the V is only a "speed" rating. It won't hurt a thing to run a higher speed rating on your tires. I have run "Z" rated tires for years.
