Lowering my car but......

How is everyone passing recon when they lower their car? Isn't the lowest you can go 12" from the bottom of the license plate to the ground? I measured it stock and it's exactly 12" from the ground so how are you guys passing recon when you lower your cars? Do you just raise it back up once a year to get the safety check and then lower it again after getting the safety check?

Not all states have a yearly safety check, so it is going to depend upon your situation where you live. No such yearly safety checks in CA...

Wow... I thought Hawaii was the only place that had that dumb recon law... but yeah... The top of the license plates do have to be 12" from the ground. The center of the headlights have to be 22" from the ground... But I think they have exceptions now... Like the S-10 Xtreme trucks... The plates were design way lower than 12" from the ground...
