Sedan wheel to coupe 18...

Hi, Season Greeting
I'm wondering if it is possible to swap the coup 18'' to the sedan. My plan is to get my stock sedan 17'' for winter and get another 18'' wheel for the summer so i dont have to change to winter tires everytime. Can anyone give me suggestions to some sexy 18''?? It would be cool if you can provide me some pictures and $$$.

Thanks guys!

Pretty sure it's allright. I believe I've seen several members on here with the 18" Coupe wheels on their sedan. Might want too do a search for pics.

I know I've seen pics. For some reason it seemed like the car needed lowered by 1/2 or 1" with those wheels though. Not sure why.

Yes it will work. I had 18" coupe wheels on my ride, till I got some Piaa Super Rozza's. The front needs to be lowered cos there is a HUGE gap.

Even a 18'' wheel on sedan have a huge gap? What about the set up of 19'' aftermarket wheel? will it rube when turn? or 18'' is fine without lower the ride? Cause i really dont wanna lower my ride~

when you add bigger rims you actually end up raising the height of the car. Therefore if you lower the car you should be able to have the car sit at a height that is just right!

Actually the car height should stay the same if you do a
plus1 or plus2 size change.
Basical the wheel DIA is larger & the tire profile is lower.
The total DIA is close to the same.
Basic rule of thumb is to stay within 3% differential from stock.
FWIW, I try to stay arround 2%.

The gap or ride height is modified by suspension changes

Guys, the total DIA (size) does NOT change.

The bigger the wheel, the smaller the tire profile.
Checkout the pic for a simplified example.

thanks for the info Intgr8r, this really clears some of confusion up. BTW can you explain what "offset" means?

Offset is the distance from the center line of the rim
to the mounting face (hub).

Positive offset = hub to the outside of center line
& the smaller the offset the further the wheel is out to the fender edge.
eg
+35 is more to the outside than +48
