Look here for answers to just about any question you might have about stock components. It's a great thread for new sedan owners.

Here's another specifically for wheels and tires. https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-...s-offsets.html

NT05 + rain= You buying a new car

I have never been more scared in my life than driving a slightly modded STI with NT05s in slightly slick roads.

BUT, NT05 + dry roads and a slightly modded STI= Holy ****

Go for the Invos or even the 555. However, Marcus seems to love his Yoko S drives, so maybe ask him why... not that you need more options lol

Quote: Guys whats the tire size for the 03 sedan with the stock 5 spoke 17" rims ? I can't find the size for hankooks
that would be 215/55R/17.

I was running 245/35/19 and 275/35/19 Hankook V12's and they were awesome except when I went to the track on a day where it was 109 degrees out with 70% humidity....They broke loose so easy and I could easily see the soft sidewall because it flexed nearly to my rim with road marks all over the sidewall. I now have Nitto Invo's and they actually grip better from 0-50 with VDC off. I can barely get them to chirp, but my Hankook V12's broke loose around 5000 rpm in first, yet kept the fishtailing in a tolerable range. I recently took off my wheels and looked at the tread, -3 degrees camber in the rear for a couple thousand miles and the tires look like symmetrical tire wear. Road noise is a bit louder than the V12's, but other than that, I like them a lot and they look and feel really beefy even when stretched.

^^You might be on to something here as we have had a brutal summer. We recorded the hottest July/Aug ever, shattered the # of days over 100 mark that was previously 79 (we're at almost 90 and still going, it was 104 today), and set an all-time high temp of 113. That might explain why I have issues with traction this summer and not in the past. My issues started shortly after I got tuned in April.

Thanks for the heads up. And Blaine, I think for a number of reasons I'll go with the Invos, but damn the NT05s are tempting. My rims had half-worn 555s on them when I bought them and I didn't like them at all. Unfortunately Yoko S Drives were my first choice in all this madness, but they don't offer a 225/40/19, FML.

LMAO, I did about an hour ago, are you stalking me?

Sadly still the same issue if not a little worse. I re-flashed my tune at UpRev today after adding my exhaust and the MD VQ cat back added 10HP and 7 tq to put me at 252/232. Car pulls harder now than it did.

I wish I could break loose at 40mph

245 is not really wide enough to get good traction when modded heavily, IMO
