what front fender mod for aggressive offset?
what front fender mod for aggressive offset?
i'm finally getting my wheels/tires installed on my g35 coupe this wednesday. here are the specs:
front 20x9.5 -7 offset 225/35/20 Hankook V12
rear 20x10.5 0 offset 245/35/20 Hankook V12
I'm planning to sit right at the top of the tire with a -1.8ish camber all around. I currently have my rears semi rolled, so I'm hoping they wont be a problem. I'm more worried about my front. I hear some people have removed or grinded down one of the bolts. What exactly do people do with their front when they are low and running an aggressive setup?
If anyone has pics to illustrate, that would be awesome.

People who run aggressive offsets up front typically do the following (in this order):
1. Remove the screws that hold your fender liner in place (unless you are dumped they will stay in place just fine)
2. Clean the inside of your fender make sure there isn't any pieces of debris in there prior to performing step 3.
3. Use a heat gun and fender finisher to pinch your fenders flat.
I'm not an expert on Coupe fitment to tell you whether you'll be good with -1.8 camber given those widths/offsets or not. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

-2 offset all around, 9.5 and 10.5 widths front and rear. -2.5 degrees of camber all around. When I had the 0 offset all around, it was -1.8 in the front and -2.2 in the back.
Flat roll in the rear. Removed fender clips in the front. Slight fender pull in the front.
You definitely want to remove the fender liner screws and roll/pinch your front fenders flat!... I didn't use a finisher or roller, I just heated up my fenders and banged them flat with a hammer.... DO NOT try my method unless you are experienced with a body hammer!
I am also running a 20x8.5 +15 with a 225/35/20... I was semi-dumped and it rubbed prior to those simple fender mods... I reccomend you do this before getting your new wheels and tires installed... It will save you time and maybe a few headaches...
