With your 19" Rays coupe wheels you could easily run 245/40s front and rear and the cost would be less than the strange size you chose. General tires?? Check out www.thetirerack.com for better quality tires and a good price. Ask them about UTQG (wear rating) that should be over 250 and under 300 for good wear and traction...knowledge is power!

i would not run a higher profile in the front than the rears, but thats just my opinion.

good luck!

Use this: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html. If the front & rear tires have less then a 3% difference then they will work.

These sizes may work but they wouldn't be my choice unless you can't pass up this deal due to finances.

First thing that comes to mind is that you might have a hard time with the 265/30 tire on an 8.5" rim, the width and profile doesnt make a good combo.
Secondly, unless the car is dropped a bit, it will look funny because the tires are 1.25-1.5" smaller in O.D.
I would honestly pass for those two reasons alone.

Yeah, those are a bit outside the norm for width and diameter.
