Just got a flat on my 235/35/20 General Exclaim UHP and now that they are discontinued i need a new tire. the tire was on a 10.5 inch rim so i need to make sure the next tire stretches pretty close to the same amount. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

 

general g-max...It now replaces Exclaim UHP

 

^ has that been confirmed? It is the replacement for the UHP but it doesn't necessarily mean it will run large like the UHP did.

But I am intrigued to know...

 

^According to Discount tire, general put out the g max line to replace the UHP. The guy at discount told me they pretty much identical to UHP. I've never had UHP so I can't personally compare how they stretch vs. the G max. However when I had the g-max on I felt as if they ran large..

 

Oh nice I think you may be the first that's run them on here. I wouldn't doubt it but I was definitely curious as Generals are wicked for the money.

 

UHP was techincally classed as a sport summer tire and teh new G-Max is an all sason, so I wouldn't say they are a direct replacement. The A/S isn't made in that size either. Not a good match to that in your size unfortunately.

 

just decided to opt to switching both tires to 245/30. Thanks for the input though guys.
