Painting chrome wheels?

Ok guys I have a set of 20" rox edge wheels that are all chrome ( picked them up for a killer price) I was thinking about getting the inner part of the wheel painted silver and keeping the lip chrome what is the best way or doing this ? Taking it to a paint shop or do it my self ?

Painting over chrome isn't really suggested. Most paint shops will refuse doing so.

If you can find a shop to do it then go for it but if you plan to tackle it yourself, spend a lot of time scuffing the chrome as best as possible so the paint has something to stick to. Then you'll want to use a self etching primer, and then a wheel paint.
