Talking 19 Inch Setup - Camber/ Rubbing, etc

Hey all! I have an 06 Sedan, 5AT..

Right now, I'm running the stock chrome 17s, I think 225/45..

I want to go to a 19" setup, so I have a few questions..

Would a staggered setup of like.. 255 F, 275 R be advantageous over something like all around? As far as handling/performance.

If I wanted 19s, I would need to roll my rear fenders correct? Anyone know of any good shops in San Francisco? Haha. Moving up there for college soon.

Also, if I bought some 19s online, what width, etc should I look for and what offset would I need to run to fit them? Or would that have to be determined after I roll the fenders?

Any other advice would be great, thanks all!

What you failed to mention is suspension, sport/non sport, coils, lowered any?

That's what decides if you rub or not. Stock the G came with 19's on the sports package so obviously no rubbing there.

I've ran 19s with no problems, also offset determines if you will rub or not, I'd recommend if on a budget some narrower wheels 8f/9r, or if tire budget isnt an issue get a 9f/10r inch wide wheel with offsets in the high teens to avoid rubbing. This means you won't rub and your wheels won't look sunken in.

Currently I run 18 inch Weddsports 9/10 with 245/45 and 265/45 tires +15/+18 offsets no rubbing and lowered. so in your case you'd probably run 245/35 and 275/35

Oh damn, I'm sorry, you're right. Well, I'm fairly certain it's stock height. I haven't adjusted anything. I have about two finger spaces between my back tire with my 17s on.
I'm planning on getting aftermarket suspension as well. Is that something I should do before/with my wheels?

Thanks for the reply!

usually youll have a bit more gap on 17s. I'd check your springs/suspension verify that you are indeed stock. Possibly post a picture. In all honesty 19s will look good as long as you make sure you dont get your offsets too low(below 12-15) and you stay within the 10 inch wide wheel selection. Anything else and it might poke too much on stock suspension/look retarded.

Well just got my fenders rolled today, hopefully that makes things simpler. But yeah, I'm pretty sure my car is lower than stock, but its not on springs or anything.. Idk, anyone have any ideas?

I always wondered why other G's looked higher.. I guess I always figured it just had something to do with my car being black/ Aero or something haha.

I'm not sure if user hologram realizes that the OP is talking about a sedan.

It happens. There really should be separate wheel & tire forums for sedan and coupes.

OP - It really depends on your wheel specs, alignment specs, tire brand/model, etc. In the end I would still recommend rolling to anyone that doesn't have a problem doing it, because if it's done right you won't be able to tell anyway, and you won't be missing any paint.

Good to hear that you got the fenders rolled though.

I was about to say! Those specs sound aggressive for a sedan.

Haha thanks for the replies everyone! I think I'm just gunna save up and get suspension + wheels + tires all done at the same time, just to make things easier. I'm thinking a 9.5 wheel in the back with 275s and a 8.5 with 245 in front.

Although, just a question if anyone has any experience.. Does the G Sedan handle better with a staggered setup or all equal tires? Cause I know it's like 53:47 distribution.
Thanks again everyone.
