I have 2007 G35 with a rear performance package.
F are 225/50/18 and R are 245/45/18
Currently i have falken ZIEX 912 on front and rear. Rear tires are completely worn out and need immediate replacement while front's are at 4/32 depth .

I want to change all four tires to Michelin MXM4 but the front's are back ordered and wont be available for at least another 6-8 weeks.

My questions are

1) For time being can i go with MXM4 on Rear . With this i am mixing a performance tire with grand touring tire can it cause any issues . Also as thread depth will be different what issues can it cause .

2) Also as the fronts are old and rear tires will be new , the tire dealer said it will throw off the traction control system on my G35 ? If i turn off VDC can it help.

Please advise as i really want to go with a better tire this time , those falkens were really bad

Your tire dealer is talking out his backside! You won't have any issues running different tread design for a few weeks. I've done it when I needed to get a few more miles out of my front tires without issues of any kind. You know it's not uncommon to run 245s back and front! High speed stability is much better with 245s on all four corners....Gary

With this can i run 245 as all four tires ? I thought i will have to stick with the sizes which are on the sticker ?

You can mix and match tire brands/models, although it is not recommended. Just replace the fronts when you can.

I am all mixed up for my car. You'll be fine.

Running the same size on the sedan, 245/45-18, is fine. They will also fit the front and rear oe wheels. Although very similar, its still not best to mix those two models of tire together. The wet and all season traction does differ a bit between them. Expect some odd handling in poor weather conditions if used together.

1) Replace rears and wait the 6-8 weeks to get the fronts. Your traction control is fine.

2) Replace all 4 with a different brand, there are plenty of good tire choices.
