OEM 19's Road Racing/Track Tires where to buy?
OEM 19's Road Racing/Track Tires where to buy?
Where can I go to find tires for the OEM Ray's 19" wheels?
I am looking to take my car to a track, not drag strip, time attack, and road course.
I am looking to buy a set of tires anyone know where to buy and recommended tires?
I know everyone says buy a set of 18's but not in the cards right now so going to use the stock 19's.
Thanx

Tire rack. And calling your local places, whatever gets you the best price.

Is this a dedicated track car? or your daily driver? I take it this is your first time out to the track?
I would recommend getting cheaper tires in the uhp/max/extreme performance category. Definitely NOT r-comps, and definitely not race rubber. The stickier tire, the more narrow the slip angle they work in, so the harder they are to drive. The stickier tires also abuse your bushings. In the beginning everyone is just learning how to drive on the track; you shouldn't worry about what tires will give you the best lap times, but what tires will give you the most fun, let you learn the best, and are cheap.
I am assuming this is going to be your daily and you aren't swapping out tires for the track as you are using your stock wheels, in that case I would recommend something like the sumitomo htrziii (first tire i took out to the track and I had a blast, and it worked well), or the hankook ventus v12 or the kumho exta le.
Depending on how many times you plan on going to the track, buying a set of 18" (17" is even better) wheels will save you money in the long run. Tires are expensive and you go through them quite a bit.
