How bad is it to replace only one tire

While Discount Tires tried to fix my tire they ripped one of the rear tires. They replace it with a new tire but there is quite a bit of tread difference between the two rear tires which is about 0.2 inch and that make rear right side(where the new tire is) is about 0.4 inch higher than rear left (the hight is measured from ground to center of the wheel well). Is it bad?

I also check front and found front right is 0.5 inch higher than front left even though the tread of both tire are the same. Is this caused by the different hight on the rear? I don't. Maybe it's something else is causing it.

I have another concern. When I let the grip on the steering wheel loosen enough to let the car proceed on its own, it pulls to the right. I did wheel alignment but it still does pull to the right. Is this because of the different hight on the front? What is wrong with my car?

Tires should be replaced in pairs, side to side. Since they sound like they were worn when one was replaced, you should go ahead and do the other side. Front to rear difference isn't a big deal, but side to side will mess up your limited slip and traction control (car will think one side is constantly slipping).

Sounds like you need 4 new tires actually (well 3) since you're saying the fronts are all out of whack also.

If uneven ware is the only problem it causes and it wares the new one faster then I'm totally fine but is it?

Front tires' tread are pretty much the same though. So I don't think the front tires causing the different hight on the front.

I just bought 1 used tire on eBay because of this concern... has same amount of wear as my old tire.
