Painting face Work Wheels T1S possible?

Looking to grab a used set of Black Chrome Work T1s wheels but would like to paint the face more of a gunmetal grey. Along the lines of a burning black finish although I know it won't look quite the same. Just wondering if that was possible and if they would come out looking good or would it be a horrible idea? Also where would I be able to have that done? I'm in the NorCal area. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Why not keep them black chrome? That's a great and rare color.

I dunno, feel like they are too blinged out for my taste. Wanted to find a set of burning black t1s but seems impossible. Not only that, but in the specs I want as well.

If I grab this set, I may just roll around with it to see if I like it.

Get any color you want just so long as you get it done professionally. Keep in mind doing so will lower the resale value on a great set of wheels.

I know, that's why I'm a little hesitant and wondering if I should just wait.

Yes, you can paint the faces, just have to do a lot of masking. It's all about the prep work either way and a high quality shop that does custom paint work will be able to accomplish this for you.

For example:

But yes, no matter what you do to them you'll likely lower the value of them in doing so. If you plan to keep them for a while longer once they're redone then that shouldn't matter to you, but if you're trying to refinish them in order to keep them fresh / interesting to you, I'd recommend selling them now and finding something else. Good chance just a repaint won't do it for you long term if you're in that boat. Good luck either way.

honestly such a great color as the black chrome would be a shame to see it wasted. Keep the color or sell the wheels.
