Thumbs down Nangkang Noble Sport NS-20 **BEWARE**

I got these Nangkang Noble Sport NS-20 (all season tire) for the rears 245/40/19. Now before you read the rest of this, I only swapped the rear tires. Fronts were not in the best condition but I kept them on to save alittle money. The fronts are Hankook Ventus RS3 (summer tire) 225/40/19. I also live in Miami, FL where its always summer (opted for the all seasons due to pricing)

So the tires come in and they look great, the tread pattern is on the sporty side and looks like its got good contact patches, everythings cool. Once I take a drive on the highway the car feels like its swaying, feels like Im driving in the rain and I catch myself gripping the steering wheel tight just to switch lanes. Car feels like it wanders, almost want to say you feel the slip angle at all times besides straight (possibly due to the deeper grooves). Body roll has also been magnified. The effects are felt at low speeds too but not as much. I took some familiar turns where I usually do some spirited driving and its engaging VDC. The car felt safer with my bald summer tires than with these brand new all seasons.

Just beware, this tire had great reviews everywhere. Not from me it aint. BIG POS! Getting some Continental DW Summers next weeks on all four corners.

Consider suspension work, as typically the Torres don't cause issues with tracking.

Sounds like "tread squirm" to me. I had that problem with a truck that I put "mud grips" on once. Is the tread very deep?

in the DRY.. my worn (not bald) summer tires seem to have much more grip, than a new all-season..

if there's a drop of water on the road, that's another story...

First, you should have replaced all 4.
Second, from your description, it really sounds more like suspension problems. You should have it checked out.

Alignment recently? Are they balanced and set to proper pressure?

alignment was done about 6-7 months ago. car pulls straight, its not that kind of wandering. balanced and set at 35psi (witnessed). i really think its the deep grooves as tex mentioned. i feel like im driving on the ridges of the tire. thats what i was trying to say when i said i felt the slip angle consistently. my wheel has to turn more in order to go in a direction as opposed with the summer tires on. although I dont feel it in the steerinf wheel per say, i feel the back of the car rolling, while the front stays put. its definitely the tires bro.

again. i live in miami, im taking these off and putting summers on. felt safer. summer tires are made for wet and dry, just not snow so why would i get an all season? i really just should have read into the tire game alittle more before purchasing is all.

anyone live nearby wanna take them wheni get them off? special price of 150$ for both. got less than 100miles on them.

ill update this again when I get the new ones and if i do have suspension problems the problem should still exist, correct? rather start with what caused the problem to begin with than start replacing suspension parts so fast lol.

the car has 48k miles at this time, which points more to the tires than suspension.

My car came with Nankangs and they fkn sucked. The fronts were "feathering" so they had a horrible sound when I came to a stop. There was plenty of tread left so I thought it was something else. Stick with the Hankooks.

UPDATE: Got BFGoodrich Sport Comp 2 (summer tires) for front and rear. F225/45/19 and R245/45/19. HUGE difference and solved all problems mentioned on the first post.

sidenote: the 45 profile with factory tire width fits on the 19" OEM Rays, although will rub on hefty bumps or high speed sweeping bumps. no problems in hard cornering.

My car came with New nankangs as well... I'm having the same horrible feathering sound when stopping under 20mph. Can't wait to replace all 4 of them.

Totally agree... To go from zero tread flex to 100 % will be an eye opener. A lot of OEM spec tire racing series shave the treads for this very reason. Give them about 2000 miles and they will be fine or buy high performance tires.
