Pilot Sport A/S 3 treadwear

I'm looking for new tires for my '07 G35S sedan with the OE staggered 18" wheels. I'm considering the Pilot Sport A/S 3 and the DWS06 (235/45 front, 245/45 rear are probably the closest to OE sizes available with same spec).

I'd prefer the A/S 3 sizing and $70 rebate, but I've read a lot about poor tread wear, especially on RWD cars with staggered sizes. To compound that issue, the lack of real rotation ability drops the warranty to 22,500 miles... which sucks. Does anybody here have these? If so, how's the wear?

Does anybody have the DWS06? Are there any issues in general with running a 235/45 up front? It's pretty similar to the A/S 3 in a 225/50.

Thanks.

The DWS will wear a bit better than the AS3, but you'll have better dry handling/response in trade. The more popular tire for G's is that DWS06. The 235's have been used before and you can also use a 245/45-18 all around.

Thanks for the information. Now that there's a $70 Conti rebate, I'm going to go with the DWS06. I'd prefer to just get the 225/50 up front, but it's Y rated vs. W out back. That does fit the recommendation of running the higher rated tire at the rear, but are there any other issues? They're both also Z rated, and I know that there's more to the rating than the largely irrelevant (to me) top speed for the tire, but in this case, does it really matter?

Not really recommended to mix speed ratings. There can be enough internal construction difference that you'll have mixed handing/response front/rear. I wouldn't feel comfortable selling a combo like that.
