Installed Tein Flex Suspension (Noise Issues)

I just installed my tein flex suspension and I have a pretty agressive drop. But its noisy as hell. Every bump i go over the susension creeks or makes some noise. Is anyone else like this?

Sry if this isnt the reply you hoped for, but are your rims extremely dirty? Or did you powdercoat everything cept the outer part of the spookes? Im sure someone will be able to help u on the suspension noise, a lot of guys have those coilovers.

they are not dirty. It is like a hyper black finish.

I'm also interested in lowering the G, however I have some questions.
1. If I do just springs, will the constant state of increased compression on the OEM shocks reduce their life?

1. Any issues with toe and camber?

Thanks

dark star....have you gotten your alignment yet, just wondering what kinda numbers you're gettin. the drop in the front looks very aggressive...

jbone...

1. yes, just dropping on springs will reduce the life of your OEM shocks

2. camber kit...people have seem to get different numbers....depends how close to spec you wanna get your car

Richie: I went to get the alignement today and they couldnt do it cause the front end was too low. ANd they wanted to charge me $50 to raise up the front end, which i can do myself, so i told them forget it. I will raise the car up a bit tonight and take off the front end (caues i want to be as low as possible) so they are do the alignement tomorrow.

I have a spc camber kit for the rear. Depending on what the front specs are after the alignement, i will get a front control arm (Either 350evo or stillen) if its still out of spec (and I am pretty sure it will be out ouf spec considering the height of the car).

From: on some Prius forum somewhere. Also getting 60mpg.
DS,
I have TEIN CO's as well and they are known for being noisy (but the drop is nice; just the camber issues are a PITA). I think it is only the CS's that are not "noisemakers". They have a rubber surround that acts like a cushion and a noise damper.

doesn't it just need those rubber covers that cover the first couple coils to stop the noise? I'm not sure where to buy them, but I used to pull them off of stock honda springs.

Anyone have pictures on how to install the spc toe cams? I just got my spc arms, now waiting for the flex's! A bit nervouse on dropping the rear on 285's.

Springs will tend to creak when rubbing against each other without the rubber tubes surrounding the upper coils.

I think there are a couple of people on here dropped on 285s with no problem.

do you know if you can just buy those rubber tubes from a big chained auto store? I see tein sells them for very marked up price. I think in the 200 range.

did they drop it on 285's with the spc camber arm?
