Do I need to get an alignment done the same day I lower my G?

Do I need to get an alignment done the same day I lower my G? I have a coupe and I'm going to lower it with Tein Basics about 1 inch in front and .5 inch in back. I ask because the place I'm taking it to doesn't do alignments. Doing an alignment right after the drop seems useless if I have to wait for it to settle in anyways. Somebody school me!

Thanks.

You should wait about 2-3 weeks depending on how many miles you drive per day before getting an alignment done. As you said in your post, it would be useless to get an alignment done the same day you lower your car as the coilovers need time to settle.

if you lower and do your camber arms/toe bolts at the same time.....your alignment might be REALLY off...like me, my SLIP like came on after 20mph cuz the toe was so bad.

but if u just do the drop....no camber arms/toe bolts....alignment shouldnt be far off....

You don't need to, but I think you can do it the same day and still get good results.
the primary reason is because your springs are linear and 500lbs/in (if i remember
correctly). Just sit in the car while they do it.

I doubt the shop will let you sit in the car while they work on it. But it would be more accurate if they did.

I talked to a few allignment shops and they say it's fine to get the allignment right away and recommend it.

I just installed my Flex's and SPC toe/camber kit over the weekend. I finished 1am early this morning. tonight 20's go back on and fine tuning to the adjusting. And I don't know why people say Flex's at lowest dampening setting are still stiffer then stock. I have front and back set to 3 and it's way softer then stock.

Anyone have problems with the steering wheel not being alligned after lowering? My car goes straight with the steering wheel off centered to the left about 15th of a turn. I'm not worried about it because it'll get corrected at the allignment tomorrow, but just wondering what did I mess with upfront to cause this.

I did mine a day after. Usually the springs will settle by the time you drive home from the place. My friend that helped me install them proved it to me. The longer you wait the more your tires will wear out. I may be wrong. I have Tein H-Tech's. I wanted a small drop and a tougher spring. I couldn't be happier with them. I paried them with Stillen Sway bars, amazing.
