Calm down my friend. I think you're off by .5 inches. I think I can speak for most when I say I've never seen anyone on here running 8's in front for Coupes. 8.5, different story. AmistadUSA is right... 8 is too small. 10 is cool for the rear tho.

245-35 and 235-35 are not the same size. For comparisons sake go to tirerack and look up a tire and check the specs on different sizes. You will see how much wider a wheel is, how many revolutions it will turn in a mile etc. I think the 235 will be fine and look good. I think what people try to accomplish is not a drastic difference from front to rear in tire sizes to 1 not mess up the VDC and 2 not increase understeer so much. It would be like driving a dragster on a roadcourse. Hope this helps

Just one other side note, the tire height info is only for the recommended rim size. If you run a wider wheel, you'll effectively "stretch" the sidewalls and the tire may be smaller (less tall) than you think. That 275/35 tire will look tall on a 9" rim, but would be much shorted on a 10" rim.

Just an FYI, make sure you know your rim widths, cause the tire heights will be different... that 35 series that you thought was too tall, may be just right on a wider wheel and look more like a 30 series.

IMO.

Well, Jline 2 piece doesn't come in half sizes for 19's. You don't see many people with 8's because EVERYONE has volks, I'm speaking for the people with custom rims. I'm not going to trip about half an inch on some rims that I will just be crusing on. I don't track nor race my car, I actually think it is pointless to do either with this car.

i wish jline or dpe would come out with some 19x8.5 or 19x9 rims up front. when i talked to james from creative auto works he said he could get me some wider rims up front but for a ridiculous price like $200 more per wheel.

Yea currently its unfortunate that DPE doesn’t have any half sizes... in the near future we will, but currently we do not. To do a 19x9 your looking at an additional $150 per rim above the price of the 19x8. To do the 19x9 is a custom application and requires some cutting and welding.

As for Jline for the half sizes your only option is the 3-piece. Most if not all 2-piece wheel companies only carry the 19x8 and 19x10.

Let me know if you guys have any questions.

James, need your quick advice

Let's say a 2-pc wheel: it has a center piece and a outter rim, then you weld them together. Do the company usually keep a lot of outter rims in various sizes (including 1/2 size) in stock? When customer orders, then depending on his/her preferrence, the manufacture will customize the offset.

If the company does not carry or stock 1/2 size, that's totally understandable. But my question will be: for x9, $150 more w/ some cutting and welding. hm... what kind of cutting and welding is needed if the company already have tons of outter rims sitting on the floor of the manufacture. If the outter rims in different sizes are readily available, x9 & x8 shall have only less than $50 difference and there shouldn't be any extra procedures. If x9 is not available, by meaning CUTTING, do you mean the manufacture will cut the x10 down to x9??? Please instruct, I am a bit curious on the pricing difference

Thanks in advance.

what happens is that they cut a 8" barrell and a 10" barrell in half, then reweld them together. Currently working on get some half sizes we so can accomidate all drivers, but currently only the 8's and 10's are available for 19" owners.

Hope that clears things up... How do we being to carry Amistad

I recently ordered a set of DPE's 8 fronts 10's in back. The guys at DPE told me I should run 275/30/19 on the rears. They said it would give me the most lip without rubbing or having to roll the fender (installing RSR Down springs at the same time). They said I wouldn't have any problems with the VDC. I originally wanted to go with 35 in the back. I'm unsure now, I wanted the 35 on the back for bit more comfort and a little more rim protection. I'll post if I have problems with the 275/30/19 on the backs.
