Hey guys have any of you with a lowered G ever had problems with warranty issues? That is the only thing thats stopping me from lowering mine. Can lowering cause issues with the car or dealership?
Typically they will exclude warranty from struts/shocks, in-cabin noises, cv joints,
alignment...but some dealers are cool about it and would install the springs for you
while giving you better warranty coverage (like you'll loose the strut/shocks, but
won't affect anything else). ofcourse you'll have to pay for the alignment.
if you want to play, you have to pay.

If the stuff you install can be proven to have specifically led to damage, wear, etc. your warranty should stay intact (Magnusson-Moss Act). Like the guys said before, if there are creaks, noises, camber wear on the tires, don't expect the dealer to fix it if you slammed the car.
Here is my story. I went to a place to get my springs installed. They called me about 3 hours later and told me they were done but found a problem. They said the outer tie rod on the left side was worn out and would prob be covered under warranty. So I called and made an appt at infiniti. A week went by and I dropped the car off the night before (Im not 21 so I cant get a loaner). I got a call the next mornin around noon and they said they needed to order another part that they found worn out (inner tie rod I believe) and that they are overnighting the parts and it will all be set for the next day. He never mentioned the springs. So the next day I got a call from them around 3ish telling me it was all set and they also did an alignment. I was waiting for him to mention the alignment or the parts wouldnt be covered due to the springs... but nothing. So i went to pick up the car and on the service slip I got it said "Vehicle has aftermarket lowering springs", yet they did all the work and alignment under warranty. I never mentioned when the springs were installed and for all they knew the springs could of been on for a year. But they never mentioned it.
It all boils down to the dealer and your relationship with them. Good luck on your choice.

Never had a problem. As stated earlier, they are usually cool. I recommend that you first gain a friendly relationship by having small talk, listen to there corny jokes(don't forget to laugh), and kinda squeeze in your future plans with your ride and you will be fine. Put it this way, In 2000 I've leased a brand new I30t. I had a K&N Filter, Ground Control Adjustble Suspention, And a HKS Exhaust, and never had a problem. They actually was exited to see what i was going to do next.
PS. This relationship should be gained with the Parts and Service Guys more than the Dealers.
