yeah, i am thinking i might have to do that... i held off cause i was loving the idea of free brake pad replacements from the dealer.

side note, i found a "detailing brush" from target. it says its safe and wont scratch anything, but the bristles look kind of coarse and am worried it will pull off the clear. is that possible?

Try using a fine grit rubbing compound and a buffer. You can use a dremel at low speeds for the nooks and crannies. An clay bar may help too.

the CleanerWax is bascially a rubbing compound with wax. If it doesn't
come off with the cleanerwax, usually it won't come off with claybar either.
I had this happen on my old G20 with Kosei wheels... I let my wife
use the car for about a year and she basically only washed it once a
while... the wheels were stained. but i didn't care, i was done with the
car anyway and got my G35C.

pointman... im going to try easy off oven cleaner, ive read that works. Of course i will try just a small part first to test.
