New tires and tire pressure sensor....

Having new tires put on...(Toyo Proxes 4)...Do they need to do anything with the tire pressure sensor when they put the new tires on?? Where is it located..on the inside of the rim??

Uh yeah to both questions. First off, not all rims accept the OEM pressure sensors (TPMS). If you already bought your rims, then you need to cross your fingers or forget about having the TPMS working. (If you don't care about it then it's of no consequence to take them off). Secondly, yes, their on the inside attached to the valve stem.

Most rims that have a stem that comes out at a 45 deg angle near the rim edge can accept the TPMS sensors. Generally, most "lipped" wheels don't accept them, and most one-piece wheels do. But you need to check with your rim dealer to be sure.

Also, whoever is mounting your tire should have a clue or you probably don't want them mounting your tire.
