i was wondering. . . . .
i really like wide rims so i was wondering what is the limit that us G owners can put in the back without having it mess everything up? I've seen G's with 10.5 but can it go even higher then just that? this information would be very useful to me thanks a bundle.
It's not allways the width of the rim that matters.it's the offset. If you go really wide on the rim & only use a 275 wide tire (the most comon used) it looks streched, easy to damage lip of rim. For instance I have 10" rim on the rear with a 4" lip, because of the offset of the rim & using a 285 x 30 x 19 tire.It all tucks with no rubbing & no rolled fenders 1 1/2" drop
how do you know which offset that you want? All these rims and all this talk is confusing. I really have no idea about any of these offsets. I just want my lip on the back to be pretty wide. haha is that too muhc to ask for? That is amazing how u got it to tuck all in because i know ppl that have wide lips, there tires start ot tilt outwards.
When buying rims from a quality shop & rim mfg. they can help you out with that.Thats why it takes a long time to get custom rims, they make them to order to fit just right.Off the self rims may not be what you want.If you want the right look, the wait is worth it,plus the cost.
