i had one of my rim curbed, and my friend is trading in his g35, so today i decided to swap my front two rims and tires with his.
do i need to bring back to dealer to reset the TPS ? or it's fine since we both have 05 same rims ?

You probably don't need to do that, but I guess it wouldn't hurt.

my understanding (from the ESM and this board) is that if you change TPS sensors you will need to have the dealer reset it. But i dont know if others have different experiences and/or know better.

What if you switch from 18's OEM rims to 17's oem rims. Do you need to reset your TPS sensor?

Any time the sensors are changed they need to be programmed. So, if swapping from one car to another yes.

Not really, when I changed my rims 6 months ago(17'' to 20'') I didn't have the reset them. I drove my car for about 2 miles and they reset themselves.

They'll initialize, but they won't be set for the right pressure. They will still be set for a minimum pressure of about 25 or 26 psi for your 17's, and I'm pretty sure you want to know you have a 20" tire going down long before it gets to 26 psi. You should get the dealer to increase the pressure setting or they're not going to do much good.
