Is this weird...

I purchased the warranty for the rims and tires on my G. Well two weeks after I bought it, I noticed while washing my car a 2" wide chunk of metal cutting into the side of my tread! I wasn't sure how deep but it was cutting in pretty good. I took it to my infinity dealer and they pulled it out and said since it wasn't leaking air it should be fine! They said if there was a problem, just to bring it back. My concern is, what if it blows out on the freeway while I'm doing 65 (ok... 80)???

Into the tread, or into the side wall?

If it was into a tread block, it should be OK.
But if you think it got down to the belts, or if it was the side wall....
I wouldn't take a chance.

haha, I noticed the same thing, moog.

Tgr8 has it right, if its in the tread you should be okay, sidewall is a different story.
