Wondering If I Got Ripped Off

Hey guys..

Saturday I bought my new rims.

20 x 8.5 and 20 x 10.5 Black with chrome spoked Niche rims.

Here's the thing... I spent $4600 on them. That includes mounting, balancing, and Toyo tires.

Now I'm just wondering, lol if I got ripped off.

I enclosed two pictures of the rims so give me your opinion guys.

LoL did I get ripped off or what?

depends, mounting tires is free at tirerack.

mounting them onto your car should be free too, since you can do it
yourself.

how much are the wheels? toyo's are pretty cheap.

anything that costs $4500 and doesn't:

orally pleasure you
rev to 15k rpms
looks suspiciously like a huge snail
hand job!
45+inches diagonal, <6" thick and supports HD
and a few other important characteristics of expensive toys

was a rip off.

buuuuuut, the wheels DO look pretty spectacular. Congrats, and may you never have to parallel park next to anything more harsh than my $4500 wife.

Does it really matter? Unless you can get your money back, then I wouldn't think about it...next time try shopping around a little bit.

Nonetheless, definitely looks like some sick rims, please post up pics when you get a chance!

I'm blown away by someone who would spend money on aftermarket wheels..........but then again at 58 I've got less to try to prove.

I did buy some nice used 300zx tt wheels [not chrome] once for $500 shipped

Not sure what the purpose of chrome wheels is in the first place.......being a male peacock has advantages I guess. Not sure if they attract the desired opposite sex as much as flowers or jewelry.

That point might be a little extreme, but I definitely see where he's coming from. That seems like an awful lot of money to spend on wheels, especially when it's solely for looks; with probably a detrimental effect on how the car drives.

but at the end of the day, if you think it's worth 4500, then who cares.

What does modifying your car have to do with "proving" anything?
