Toyo's too loud

I have Toyo T1s tires (245 & 275/35-19) on my G. They have gotten loud as hell. I have about 10k miles on them. I looking for some replacements for them but I need some tires that are much quieter. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

I think the newer T1R's are supposed to be quieter than the T1S....

All directional tires heel and feather to varying degrees.
The very process [notch tuning] used to cancel noise on new tires creates the opposite effect after the 8,000 mile optimization point.

It took a heck of an engineer to figure how many more tires could be sold at a higher price if the industry persuaded the public that directional tires were better than non directional tires [which could be easily rotated to counterwear the feathering].

Almost as bad as the ethanol from corn boondoggle which cost the driving public about the same as directional tires..........$500+ per year EXTRA.

Absolutely true. Since gas tax is priced per gallon, politicians wanting more $$$$ to spend had to find a way to make us use more gallons. The best way to do that it to reduce the effective miles obtained per gallon of fuel. The best way to do that is to reduce the heat energy in that fuel. Package it as a way to cleaner air, and its a sure thing for the public to support. Even though there is no evidence oxygenated fuel does squat to reduce emmisions on a modern, catalyst-equipped vehicle. Just like the invasion of Iraq was due to WMD. Just like all the hydrogenated oils (trans fats) now killing people were safer to eat than good old fashioned butter. Tell a big enough lie and.....................follow the money.

To solve the directional tire dilemma:

Take tires off the front wheels.
Put them back on the opposite wheel.

Ethanol:

The biggest reason that ethanol WILL become a common fuel for automobiles is not emissions, or cost..........

It is because it is a RENEWABLE resource, unlike oil.
