As I stated in the other post. My wheels are about 1 week old and I washed them once. Results..this is what happened. They look like they are stained. I didnt use any aftermarket products, just water. Is there anything I can do? Wheel experts please help. If worse comes to worse I will try to make the rim all of the new color. LOL. But if you guys have any advice please let me know.

By the way. My rim is a 2pc rim and the finish was anthracite from iForged.

 

I'd call iforged about it...that shouldn't happen with just soap and water.

 

I did call iForged and they told me that something else had to be used on it. But I 100% know nothing lese was used on it. Any suggestions on how to fix or what to do?

have you tried to rewash them to see if they disappear when it is wet?

 

Nope. I have not yet tried that. But I will as soon as I have the chance to. Please guys any ideas on what to use would be very grateful. Also I am in NYC. Was wondering wether you guys might know a place that can fix a problem like this one and what might b done. TIA

 

Do these wheels have a clear coat? If they don't and the re-wash doesn't fix it, you will have to polish them out.

 

You think repolishing them will do the job if nothing else does? Because if that is the case and after i rewash it doesnt come out then I will definitely have no problem repolishing it at whatever cost as long as it comes out. And no, no clear coat.

 

Hmm..that's strange. Didn't use any type of sprays/wheels cleaners? What kinda soap did you use? Hopefully its just waterspots...

 

Nope, no sprays or anything like that. Regular soap. If they are water spots they should come out when Wet and clean them correct? Also trying to make them come out with my fingers wouldnt do the job right?? Im saying this because I have tried to take it off with my fingers but it doesnt and it seems that its the wheel itself, no different feeling at all. Do you still think its water spots. Sorry that I am asking these questions but its that the wheels are brand new and I will do what ever to fix them. This is why I need all the help I can get from you guys, which apparently are the only ones that know what you are talking about. iForged def. does not.

Hmmmm . . . What sort of "regular soap" did you use? Have you tried gently rubbing the wheels with a clean wet towel?

^ I was thinking the same thing. Did you use Armor All or a similar tire treatment? If so, I'd try washing them again. If soap doesn't take it off, try some diluted Simple Green.

 

if water and soap doesnt take it off..you might want to try a mild paint polish
