Wheel adapter, please help me
Wheel adapter, please help me
Hey guys, I've been in a huge jam lately.... I went thru a huge hassle finally getting these rims... the guy who sold them to me said that they would clear brembos.... the rims fit in the rear, but not the front...I went to a shop and they put on 2 x 3mm spacers on each side to make the rims fit... it cleared the brembos but the lugs were unable to turn.... so basically my option is to either sell or (hopefully be able to) return the rims for a refund... or get a wheel adapter... I'm hoping to get a wheel adapter, which leads to my question.
I'm not sure which wheel adapter I would need... would I need a Wheel Adapter 5 Lug 4.5"? Or a measurement different than that? I'd plan on getting a Wheel Adapter that is 1" thick. And also.... would it be harmful to use one of these wheel adapters? Or am I just better off getting rid of these rims? The guy at the shop told me that wheel adapters would be damaging for my car, but I think he just wanted me to sell the rims and buy my next set thru him.... I'm sorry, I'm just really frustrated about this entire situation. I'm hoping that I can put these rims on without doing any harm to my car, because I think they would look beautiful on my car.
Here's the specs of the wheels and tires:
Wheels:
Black Sevas S-Star Rims w/ Chrome Lip
Front: 19 x 8.5, Offset +20
Rear: 19 x 9.5, Offset +25
Tires:
Hankook k104s
Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 275/30/19
Also, I drive an 03 G35 6MT w/ Brembos.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

all you need are the Kics Project wheel spacers. you can get them here:

hey, thank you so much for the help but are you absolutely certain that these spacers would work? the shop used two 3 mm spacers on each side.. it cleared the brembos but because of the spacers, the lug nuts were not able to go in all the way, so we could not turn and tighten the lugs.
i ended up ordering these: http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Ada.../5450-5450.htm
i'm hoping this will do the job... but if you are absolutely certain the kics project wheel spacers will work, i could cancel my order.. (also if you were absolutely certain what length spacer should i get? i'm assuming the minimum 15mm would be fine) thanks again for helping

hey, just wanted to provide an update..
i ended up using the wheel adapter from ezaccessory.com and i just finished placing the wheel adapter and rims onto my g. just took it for a test drive and everything seems a-ok. i should have pictures of the new wheels by this weekend. if i experience any problems with the wheels in the front, ill try ordering the kics project wheel spacers. thanks again for the help sen_jen

yeah, get those Kic's asap. it's a G35 you're driving, not an Accent (no offense at all mang) ! they're strong, high quality, and they can save your life.

He's saying they added 2 3mm spacers on each side, moving the wheels out 6mm. I'd think that the lugs should still reach, but that's based on my old car. Haven't had the wheels of my G myself. Maybe the wheels he got have thicker hubs too.
