Budget Rims: Axis vs. HP

Hi All,

I'm looking for some opinions regarding some rims... I'm leaning towards a 19" mesh style rim in hyperblack for my IP coupe.

Right now I'm torn between the Axis Penta vs. the HP Racing Lightning Evo. They're both similarly priced at about $2400 with Toyo T1R tires, so really I'm wondering which rim would be the better deal?

Attached are some pix (Axis on left, HP on right)... any advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

If you are on a budget and like the mesh style, you should look into the Privat Netz. I have them and love them. I got them in 19x8 all around with 245/40/19 falkens for $1760...This also came with locking lugs.

The wheels are very similiar to those.

Both of those that you have choosen are really nice. Good luck in deciding

What are the offsets for the AXIS Penta in 19x8.5 and 19x9.5? I am also considering these wheels, but I think they are a lillte heavier than what I am looking for, approx 25lbs. I would go with the AXIS.

Thanks to all those who have replied... looks like Axis is winning!

In regards to offsets, I believe it's 40/35 front/rear.

Better check those offsets. Your wheels will be sitting in to far in the front. Back will be okay, but front is a sedan offset. You want to probably get something closer to +25 F and +25 R if you want nice flush mount to fender.
