iPhones need a wifi scanner
Android needs Bluetooth scanners.
Why apple has to make things difficult, I'll never know
Now check reviews on modules, I can say the cheap ELM327 clones work for light duty, just clearing codes, or to see if you like an app. If you want to get serious, you'll need better quality one because the clones can start throwing errors after a short time. That's been my issue using Torque Pro, and forums are full if the same problems with the clone adapters.

Wifi OBDII scanner
Hello, I have an app called engine link which I bought the full version from the app market for $5 and it uses a wifi OBDII. I paid about $25 for my scanner online from sears. Once I got it, I installed it into the OBDII port on my car, turned on the engine link app and it seemed to work fine. Give it a try. Brooks out...and no my iPhone hasn't broken out of jail...lol.

Engine link, dash command all do the same thing. If you NEED quality buy something nice, if you need the BEST you should be using a computer and not a wifi module for data-logging.

I really just want to check and clear codes. I'm not at the skill level to understand data logging, I can bolt things on but I can't tune lol
When you guys say wifi, does it mean I have to be at my home on a wifi network? Or if I'm at my work and I go to leave and get a code, can I check it there???

or get something like this:
it's a stand alone unit and it'll save you the headache from connection to phone/tablet.. only thing is that it can read/clear codes, but can't monitor stats.

Is the G35 only supported by the Torque PRO version? I don't want to waste $5 on the app if it doesn't work.

My issue seems to be Bluetooth is not pairing. When I enter the code "1234" it shows as paired, but not "connected" (like all my other devices do when connected). I tried with an S3 and also a Tablet... same thing.
I might try some older Bluetooth devices, but ideally I wish this worked with my S5
