Do I need to override the Bose system?

Hey guys, read a few threads about the whole Bose factory system thing and couldnt find an answer. I have a 2006 g35x, and just installed a double-din HU with an amp and two subs. Of course, Im getting no bass, so what kind of bypass do you have to do to the factory system to make it work?

Ive read things about splicing the wires, unhooking the factory amp/sub, getting an adapter etc. Any help is appreciated!

Ive read the sticky from dR6 but it looks like that is just adding a sub to the factory amp?

Wait, you put in an amp, but the Bose amp is still hooked up? Why? How many channels is the amp? Is it just running the sub?

What metra harness are you using?

Could you describe the complete audio system you're using?

If you went with aftermarket amps for the front speakers, you've got the right harness, you just need to run your own RCAs from the new headunit, run those to your amps in your trunk, then run from the amp to the factory wiring in the trunk that goes up to the front speakers (and from the sub's amp directly to the sub, of course).

If you're planning on using the factory bose amp to drive the front speakers, you've got the wrong part, and you should be using the PAC ROEM-NIS2 instead, as describe in the main DDin install thread - https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...urce-list.html

Basically its a double din HU, with rca's to an amp that powers just my subs, all of which are aftermarket. Id like the factory amp to power the factory speakers, so it sounds like I need that PAC item

Would this work though?

Because it's an incompatible signal.

This is sticky'd here for good reason:
