2004 VQ35DE from auto coupe - Whole or Parts
Hi all,
A few months ago I had to change out my engine.
After buying my coupe, the engine overheated and blew the head gaskets. So both heads were planed and the block tops were decked to ensure everything was flat.
I modified the water passage to allow for the use of HR engine gaskets at the same time. (This modified water flow was adopted by Nissan for its superior cooling water flow.) The head gaskets for the HR also had "fire rings" around the cylinder bores for a better seal.
I ran the engine fine for about 1000 miles before developing a connecting rod knock The crankshaft was too far from spec to re use OEM bearings and I didn't want to dive into machining the crank and sizing bearings and gauging everything and blah so and I found a replacement engine close by my home and opted for engine replacement.
So this engine has planed heads, modified water passage and a rod knock.
I am offering the whole engine to sell for $250 with all the parts from intake plenum down to the sump and all sensors attached to it.
Alternatively I'll part it all out. Someone must want a timing cover or intake plenum to polish up and swap in without having their car off the road.
prices like:
Timing cover front and rear $50
Intake plenum $50
Camshafts $10 a piece
Valve covers $25 each
you get the idea ,ask away, the worst I can say is no!
