A question about a whistling sound

Every time I accelerate, my car tends to make a whistling sound for like a couple seconds after shifting? When I don't accelerate, it does't make the sound. I was wondering if that was normal or not. Sorry if there was a thread about this, I couldn't find it. Thanks.

Nope. It started to make this whistling sound for a month or so and I bought my car last year and haven't heard this noise before, unless I wasn't paying to much attention to it. I was wondering if it was normal for G's or not. The whistling sound isn't that loud but you can hear it from the outside when you're inside the car with your head out wanting to hear your car purrrr. =P and I just hit the 100k mark.

I actually have a whistle too (I'm serious this time). Between 74-76mph I get a high pitch whistle in the cabin that will only go away if I accelerate to 77+ or slow down to 73-. Its the weirdest thing.

Good call.
Revup motors get the whistle between 80-81mph and when the radio is tuned to 103.7
Design flaw if you ask me.

When the radio is turned to a specific station? That's even weirder! Haha

Lol. I may have to check up on my car if the sound is from the cabin or the exhaust again. I know everything is bone stock. Just seems weird. Thanks guys!

Gotta love these ^
Simple explanation for the whistling you're hearing. Our G35s take on a personality of their own, it's telling you it's time to get the 100K mile service. All fluids, all filters and plugs along with new belts unless you've replaced them recently. Once you've completed the service your G will quit whistling at you...Gary

Dammit! You caught me! Except it wasn't a gun or intake. I realized I was farting all this time...
