there's a lot of threads on this.
most people go simple, rev up airbox with z tube probably around $100 used or something like that.

5/16th spacer i think about $200

and osiris tune? like 600.

me personally, I just upgraded suspension before anything else. all up to you though.

I am also new with a 06 6mt. I did maintenance first (94K) and then did suspension. KYB with prokits. I actually want something stiffer. I dont plan on go fast parts until later since this car is already pretty fast stock. Things seem to stop working every day, I replaced door lock actuator and now window motor is on the way out. I am in the process of upgrading audio , single din flip out navi I had laying around. Brakes are on my to do list, the Z1 brake upgrade for about 500 and maybe the power pack.

Depends what you want, some people choose style first while others choose performance.
As mentioned above, I went with suspension first followed by the plenum spacer and catback exhaust.

One of the first upgrades I did was the rev up box and drop in filter along with the 5/16 plenium spacer

You can go for adjustable swaybars and springs if you want a mild drop or save up for coils

Just search the forums a lot of great info

Welcome

FIRST if your car is more than 5 years old, have the bushings and tie rods, hell the whole suspension checked out and replace/repair what's messed up/wore out.

The best bang for you buck can be had in three things:

1) Good sticky tires
2) Sway bars
3) Good shocks (adjustable)

Each one of those are at or under $1000.

Thank you for getting back to me guys. Sorry for being a noob, but why is it important to check the suspension first?

Also, is there a website to find these parts cheap? I did find several sellers here, but I feel skeptical over buying from someone here lol.

I'd like performance and looks.
I was thinking a CAI, but dont know which one, an exhaust (dont know which one). If there are better substitutes for these let me know. Thank you!

I think it's best to go suspension first rather than bolt ons since you won't be seeing a lot of gains unless you go forced induction. The money you spend vs horsepower you gain isn't really worth it. Next best thing in performance would be suspension imo. im not a fan of the stock feel, too much body roll. But if you're all for comfort stay stock. Maintenance and reliability is all you really need if you don't want power or suspension. (Bushings, etc.)

And as for the cai people really never see any gains. That's why most stick with just a drop in filter. It's just flashy.

Because worn bushings and/or tie rod ends are dangerous. Worn bushings throw your suspension geometry off and make it hard to get the alignment right. Start with a good strong STRAIGHT underside first. Check the wheel bearings too, they are notorious for wearing out.
