A little help

What's up fellas? I haven't been on here in a while. My 05 G35X has 34k miles on it and has seen probably 25k miles of new york city driving basically stopping on every corner. I never really got great milage out her but the milage has gotten worse. Right now I get about 160 mile until the light comes on. Should I tune the car up, changing spark plus etc. I do routine oil changes with mobil 1, change the air filter every year. Thanks in advance

Yes. That's brutal mileage. I would tune up with new plugs and clean maf and go from there. Good luck

Are you feeling a loss of power at all? If so, I'd check the O2 sensors as well.

Power is still there when I drive it. I talk to my dealer and they said that the plugs are good for 100k miles but I feel after 7 years the plugs have to be worn.

If you can pump 20 gallons, you must be coasting to the station in neutral with the engine off. I always run it down till the light comes on and typically go a day, MAYBE 2 before refilling once it has come on. Over the past 4 months, I'm averaging 16.72 gallons per fill up roughly every 10 days. I do not top it off. Average mpg is 21.86 with my high being 23.17 and low of 20.52. My commute is mostly highway.

I would definitely start with a basic tune, plugs and filters, etc. Along with O2 and MAF sensors. Also, what kind of tires are you using and have you checked your tire pressure recently?

Let us know when you do those small changes. If you really want to know where the empty is carry a one gallon tank in the trunk and just run dry.

Just checked it car did 163 miles then light can on, filled up and put in 16 gallon of gas in so thats 10 miles per gallon. **** my camaro gets better gas mileage. My tire pressure is set at 36psi cold with the kumho ecsta lx platinum. Just order the air filter, gotta go pick up the plugs.

You could try changing your pcv valve if you pop your hood look to your left on the top of the valve cover is where its located it should be changed every 30,000 miles to keep pressure from building up in the engine and causing oil to seep out where it shouldn't and also cause your car to use more fuel than it should.
