Electric seat won't recline!

I was studying Alldata on how to take out the seat and get to the switch to replace it. You saved me HOURS and real money.
Instead of WD40 (a lubricant) I used electrical contact cleaner spray (Radioshack overcharges $15 for a can) and had it working in literally 5 seconds. Just a short targeted blast around the edges of the switch with the little red straw and voila! the seat reclines again.
Thank you!
Now, I'd like to take this opportunity to send a big raspberry to the bonehead engineer who decided that seat control switches should (a) go in the opposite side of where everyone expects them, and (b) position them on TOP of the seat rather than the side, so crumbs, dust, coffee, and crap settle into the recessed switches. What were they thinking in a luxury car?

To be honest, that's one of my favorite features on the car. I hate reaching down between the door panel searching for switches. I wish more manufacturers put them where they are in the G35
I do agree about crap getting in there though. Just need to stay on top of cleaning.
