2008 G35 Brake Master Cylinder
Hello there.
Is the brake master cylinders on a 2008 G35s Sedan the same as the one found on a G37s 2009 and above?? Can the G35 use a G37 Master Brake Cylinder??
Reason I asked, I upgraded to Akebono BB and I still think the pedal is too soft. and YES the system was bleed 2 times using an air power bleeder. Used Pentosin Dot 4 instead of 3.
Any input will help.
CHEERS!!

The MBC used with the Akebono Sport brakes was always a different part number from whatever was used in a non-Sport, so there's no telling if it physically fits or not.
I don't recall others who have upgraded the brakes having complained of a soft pedal though. Perhaps your booster isn't working right or you need to upgrade to SS brake lines.

Yes the V36 chassis (2009 and newer coupe, 2007 and newer sedan) all use an interchangeable brake master cylinder. HOWEVER, the akebono equipped vehicles have an upgraded version of the master cylinder but it's not going to cause squishy brakes.
Squishy brakes is caused by four things, air in the system, old contaminated fluid, bad master cylinder, or not bleeding in the correct order (it's a nonstandard bleed order, check the FSM). Makes sure to fully bleed out the old fluid until new fluid is pumping out of the first caliper, then go through the CORRECT BLEED ORDER and bleed each line until it's 100% fresh fluid and no bubbles.
I strongly recommend a Motive power bleeder, it's a LOT of fluid that needs to be pumped out.

Section BR - Brakes under "brake fluid, bleeding".
EDIT: You also should stick to the correct brake fluid and not use DOT 4 like the previous poster mentioned. This vehicle was designed for DOT 3, DOT 4 will pick up more water and has a MUCH shorter fluid change interval. A high quality DOT 3 will have a much higher boiling point than a cheap trash DOT 3.
Valvoline synthetic DOT 3&4 is an excellent off the shelf fluid that you'll find in many parts stores. It's basically got all the water absorption characteristics of DOT 3 but with the higher boiling point of DOT 4. Plus it's very reasonably priced.
