Fog light bulb
#1
So I bought clear side markers for my 06 coupe and installed them. I love the look but I want to replace my side marker bulb to kind of match the low beam bulb. But to do that I would have to replace the fog light because I don't like the yellowish color. To me it looks bad but to each their own. I want to know what type of bulb is needed to change the fog light? I want to change it to around 5k-6k. I don't want to go the HID way because I heard it's bad for when your driving(could possibly blind people coming your way) I hope yall understand the question I'm asking. Sorry if this topic has been discussed before but I could not find my answer, any help is appreciated.

Hi there! I see you have the projector bi-Xenon set up. The projectors use a D2S HID bulb. Your fogs use an H1 bulb I believe.
You can check this by popping the hood and looking physically on the top of the light housing. It should say D2S and something else.
You DO NOT want to run HID in a REFLECTOR that was NOT BUILT FOR HID. It is inefficient at best and blinds other drivers. If a cops in a bad mood he will pull you over for it because it is illegal.
Stock light bulbs in the projector are 4300K. If you want a perfect match buy 4300K fogs and side markers. I went ricey and went 6K city lights and 8K side markers .

Lol is this serious? If so I'm buying a 3000K bulb for visibility.
Yellow fog lights CUT through the fog whereas white sucks.
D2S will run you 30-150$ depending on your preference. Philips basics are great, good enough.
You have an HID projector, so effectively you have battery > Fuse > Ballast (think amplifier in car audio) > projector & D2S bulb. Changing the bulb Changes the color as long as it is rated for the same wattage as the ballast...!
I personally wouldn't spend money on non-broken bulbs while you have them. I'll buy 5000K when my 4300K's burn out.

I was incorrect, my 2005 takes an H-4 the newer models 2007+ use the H-1, not the same.
Here is the one I used.

So I ended up buying a new HID bulb because I wanted more of a white/blueish color. Since the original is 4300K I went with a 6000K. At the same time I purchased a fog light bulb and side marker bulb that would match. My question now is, is it hard to replace these? How would I go about doing it? The side marker bulb I'm not worried about, I'm worried about the HID itself and the fog light bulb. They should be arriving next week and once they do I would like to install them.
