Damn CD player

Howdy all,

So car is running (2004 G35 Sedan, auto with BOSS radio and NAV system)...

Now I need to fix CD player.. just wont read plus my CD are stuck. So I need replacement which is arm and a leg...so I have a couple choices..

1. remove and replace the x6 cd changer (if I can find one)

2. I just upgrade with modern radio that has up to date features like USB etc. But my understanding is the radio is tied in with NAV and vehicle ECM.

So im looking for an outfit that can swap out the OEM radio with nav system for a new radio AND still be able to use ALL the other functions like the cruise control etc.

Any one know of a good place in southern Cali? alt location is Las Vegas, NV as I travel there often.

Thanks,

I have an 04 Bose CD changer that works. Give it to you for $20+ shipping. I'm in San Diego.

But, also, no the radio isnt tied to the nav, it's tied to the HVAC, which is why aftermarket and JDM bezels are so expensive. In 05+ you needed a specific bezel for nav/non nav, but 03/4 have the same bezel regardless of nav.

No, I'm just a guy who put an aftermarket stereo in my car. Haha I have no use for the Bose now.

Well then your the man I wanna talk to !

Hows the swap working out for you? full function on steering wheel controls?

Did you do the swap your self? and was it difficult? as I mentioned this is one of my options.. but I need to se what it will cost and if I can do it myself... or I need to have it done by a professional.

Id still take your unit as that is the quick fix right now...

Do you take pay pal? I will just have you mail it. let me know your total cost. please do wrap it really good with something like crumbled paper, not popcorn..

There are places that will refurbrish your stereo for you for $55. It's quick, and your head unit comes back to you as good as new.

I know this sounds a little shady but look for this on ebay.
