proud new G owner! :D (pics!) & progress thread
got a few things done..
forgot to post this but i got a front tow hook license plate bracket for cheap. works perfectly-

installed a set of tinted tails. i went back and forth on these thinking it might not look good and i didn't want to have "another g35 with tinted tails", but i actually really like the way it looks.

also finally bought an oem '03-'05 spoiler, painted it, and installed last week. i used an aerosol can mixed from automotive touchup for the color coat, and a can of spray max 2k clear for the clear coat.
lighting sucks in these 2 pics but it was carribean blue-

sanded down ready to paint-

color on-

clear on, after letting it sit overnight

test card i sprayed, matches perfectly-

pulled off the aftermarket '06-'07 style spoiler. whoever installed this thing for the previous owner thought it was a good idea to use some silicone RTV in a few spots
lets just say it took a long time to get it all off and pretty much sucked.

tinted the brake light with some vinyl while it was off the car-

taped up ready to go-

installed!

still needs to be wet sanded and buffed to get rid of some of the orange peel. overall i'm super happy with how it turned out. if anyone is wondering, i used some butyl rubber around the bolt holes to seal them off from water. and believe it or not, the holes that were drilled for the aftermarket '06-'07 spoiler matched up to this oem '03-'05 one.
and last but not least, hit the big four-oh over the weekend

thanks. i think the '03-'05 one looks way better, it looks sportier to me.
Tail of the Dragon is 11 miles of public road thru the mtns of Tenn and N Carolina .It has like 123 curves and never closes! Some people lose their lives on it by driving like a fool ! If you go to Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge or Dollywood for vaca the Dragon is very close to it.

it crosses the border of TN and NC, there's people on it every day.
yessir! definitely a really fun time, everyone should experience it at least once.

Im going home next week to visit my family. The Dragon will be a monday or tuesday ride. The traffic will not be as heavy as the weekend. I have never rode the Dragon on a bike but I dont want to be a statistic either.I will do it once so I can say I did it!
