I'm in Arcadia if you're interested in an old school and new in box JL 15w6. Dual 6 ohm so it'll wire at 3 ohms. With box rise it'll see 4 ohm.

Actually, the enclosure specs needed for a 15w6 are the same for a the 12w6v2. 1.25 cu. ft. sealed. The amount of power needed for the 15w6 is 400w rms whereas the 12w6v2 needs 600w.

The older w6 models were more efficient than the newer ones and the sounded better. IMO they get louder too. Cone area on the 15 crushes that of a 10 and a 12, not to mention the specs itself of the sub. The resonant frequency (Fs) of the 12w6v2 is 24 Hz whereas the 15w6 has an Fs of 16 Hz...it has the capabilities to drop so much lower.

Not trying to sell what I have to persuade you to buy it, just clearing up information where people think that a larger sub needs more power and more space.

i have a 10w7 in a vented box. it fits in my coupe trunk perfectly
