Need Help With V1 Radar Detector Power Supply
Need Help With V1 Radar Detector Power Supply
I got a Valentine V1, but the cord that connects from the V1 to the cig lighter doesn't work.
Can I use any type of cord, or does it have to be a particular kind for the v1? Also, where can I buy it from? Any radio shack?
Thanks guys

yeah check the fuse, it should work...i have a v1 too and i plug it there. make sure the car charger is lined up in the correct orientation although it shouldnt matter. I moved it around a few tiems before i got it to work once.
Yeah; they have power cords you can use or you can use something like this: www.invisicord.com for a stealth install

Can you still use that if your car's rearview mirror doesn't have the power supply? (no premium package)
Yes; basically the installer will run it through the headliner; down the a-pillar; and tap into the fuse box. That is what mine did when he installed my homelink rearview mirror on my base coupe.
