Need Help With V1 Radar Detector Power Supply

I got a Valentine V1, but the cord that connects from the V1 to the cig lighter doesn't work.

Can I use any type of cord, or does it have to be a particular kind for the v1? Also, where can I buy it from? Any radio shack?

Thanks guys

Check the fuse in the V1 cig adapter plug.

What if I don't have the power cord? Is there one I can buy from radio shack?

Yeah; they have power cords you can use or you can use something like this: www.invisicord.com for a stealth install

Can you still use that if your car's rearview mirror doesn't have the power supply? (no premium package)

Yes; basically the installer will run it through the headliner; down the a-pillar; and tap into the fuse box. That is what mine did when he installed my homelink rearview mirror on my base coupe.

OK for wires, but what about that clip holder (Radar Detector Mount)? Does it fit same as with homelink mirror? Thanks

I hardwired mine to the fusebox this weekend. Looks much clean than a dangling cord.
