Could be that you burned the coils or a wrong connection some where..

 

How can I tell when a coil is burnt? o.o I don't even know what that is lol. It's working now but it kinda sounds like ****... (Sounds a lot like ****). It's a Sundown 12". It's basically brand new and not very broken in yet, but it shouldn't sound this bad :\

 

"I would assume you did what I did when mine was wrong. Double check to see if you're getting music to your rear speakers. If you're not, I think I might know what you're doign wrong."

yes i am getting sound to my rear deck speakers went to a friend at a local audio shop showed me exactly what they do as pros, still no joy though. been working on this for about 2 weeks now bout to throw in the towel and pay for someone to do the rest of it for me.

 

well after working and working at it i found out that the signal was too low for the amp to read directly so i took it to an audio shop and he soldered the wires for me for free and it worked like a charm.


so i got bored one day and decided to use my ipod fm transmitter to listen to some songs i dont have on CD.
plugged it up and got the tunes a going and noticed no bass.
got all butt hurt about it and took it out and played a cd.
still no bass.
cranked up the car to drive over to my boys house and sure enough there was the bass.
so i came to the conclusion it only works when the alternator is on.

 

Any idea if this guy is still in business? I emailed him few weeks ago yet no answer and I tried calling him and his number is no longer in service

I'm interested in a set for both driver & passenger side

 

i am not sure i wanted one also for an 8 inch sub but couldn't find anything anywhere on them so i opted for a small box designed to fit under the rear seats of an extended cab chevy pickup. it was 32 bucks for it here in NC.

 

i have a question.
What about the 2004 g35 sedan.
frm what i see the wiring harness colours are a little bit different.
does anyne have a wire diagram or could tell me the colours,thank you.

Im sorry for the noob question...
but what does he mean by "removed the in-line fuse"?
Is he talking about some existing a fuse in the fuse-box or is he talking about the in-line fuse that came with my wire install kit?

also, did you guys use a fuse from the fuse-box OR used an aftermarket in-line fuse?
if aftermarket in-line fuse, where did you place it?

 

Are you pretty good at sound systems,would a picture help?i am gonna make a whole in my head from scratching it

Aftermarket power wires have an inline fuse that you want installed as close as possible to the battery. While running the wire, you want that fuse out until everything's good to go on both ends.

 

look at the picture below
there's a fuse inside that plastic cap, its usually within few inches from your battery when you have an aftermarket subwoofer
