Upgrading 06 bluetooth mic.
#46
Are there any updates on this? Is there a better microphone? Does anyone use the '06 factory bluetooth?
I can hear callers OK, but get up to road speed and people complain that voices sound like a bad mp3 in a tunnel - just horrible. Nobody complains when I use my Motorola earpiece, but I'm shouting at the ceiling trying to get people to understand me on this OEM POS.

I have an 05 coupe, so no Bluetooth, but I bought the Parrot CK3100. This thing works great. It mutes you're stereo when a call comes in, and responds to voice commands like "hang up". My business partner told me he thought I was talking on a landline it was so clear. It's an option if you're not satisfied with the OEM.

Maybe investing in a small fortune of Dynamat is in my future.

You can, just pull the wires and splice it to a standard mono microphone jack and plug it in. Not sure if you'll get any noise cancellation, and the stock mic isn't very good anyway, so don't expect much out of it. You'd be much better off going with one like the garmin mic.
