03-04 Double DIn Kit

Hey, I just ordered the Avic-Z1 for my 04 G35 Coupe (no factory nav) and was wondering if I needed to purchase the Double Din Finisher and the Bracket, or just the finisher, or what? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Yes you would need all three of them to make it work, and if you have dual Climate control and want to keep it you have to solder the dual ac button from the old unit onto the new AC controller.

I also believe there are two brackets available - one for navi and one for non-navi equipped models. Make sure you get the right one.

My guess is you're using your original bracket with a bit of modifying depending on what unit you're trying to install... (might require cutting)..

You can order another bracket if you wish to return back to stock etc..

I installed a Z1 in my 04 coupe and didn't purchase the bracket and didn't need to cut anything.

You still need to solder the dual ac button.

is there a way to use the old a/c controller?

i think i read something awhile back where you could make sure it's on dual climate control before you unplug everything and then when you reinstall it just stays in dual mode....???

I don't think you can use the old controller since it has the radio controls in it. If you're brave enough to hack off that part of the board , go for it.
