I thought the vss wire was wht/grn on the 4 wire harness behind the radio. I used that wire and my navi only reads up to 8 mph...even when I'm going 50. what wire did u all use

HELP! I tapped that same wire in my 2005 sedan install, and my Avic reads 100MPH.

Anybody that knows the correct VSS wire for a 2005 sedan or coupe please post up!

I figured mine out last night. Turns out that the wire is correct. I just needed to let my navi re-learn the speed sensing. I put the unit in Tire Change mode, drove around for 15 mins and it works excellent now.

^Not for me, I've been driving around like this for a month now, and my navi only partially works because I tapped the round speed sensor wire.

I tapped into the white/green wire behind the factory NAVI DVD-Rom player. I tapped into it so that I can use the navi search feautures while driving.

Do non-navi cars already have the wiring harness for the NAVI units?

Yes because the Bose radio still needs the speed sensor wire for the volume adjustment based on speed...that's if that option is selected on the radio

Mine didn't have Bose or Nav and still had the VSS wire behind the stereo.
