Best upgrade for the Bose hands down.

Best upgrade for the Bose hands down.
I just installed an AidioControl EQS Pre-Amp Equalizer and WOW what a difference. The tweeters sound GREAT now.
With a stock HU I installed Focal component speakers in the doors. Sound was a little better but still sucked.
Then I installed an ARC audio amp. The sound improved a little and just got louder.
Just installed the AudioControl EQ and holy $hit this is what the Bose needed. Stereo sounds clear like it's supposed to.
Just wanted to tell guys know what a big difference the EQ made.

Re: Best upgrade for the Bose hands down.
The wiring was from the head unit to the EQ from the EQ to the AMP.
I know it's not a custom install but I wanted to keep my spare and trunk space.

Re: Best upgrade for the Bose hands down.
Let me just see that I got this right...because this is EXACTLY what I want to do....and hey THANKS for the pics....nothing beats proper info and PICS!!!!...anyway... So you bypassed the Bose amp and when right to your EQ....first question does the EQ you bought take the speaker wires from the HU direct or did you have to get Line level converters?....
Second question you went from the EQ to the amp and amp to the Factory speakers right...w/ a 6 channel Amp = 2 front speakers, 2 rear, 2 to Bose 6x9 "subs" is that correct?
One more question are you getting and humming or that low whistle that you get when you install aftermarket stuff to the Factory HU?...........please respond Koni.....cause this is the best info I've seen yet..
One last question.....how about a wiring color code diagram to REALLY REALLY help us all out.....HU wire to Bose amp colors and Bose Amp wire colors to speakers....
that would help me and I think others out a great deal.....Pics of it would even be better.....thanks in advance
Lexus for my luxury and Infiniti G35 Coupe for my speed. I must say...Life is not always a B!TCH

I guess it would have helped to have read your post before I posed my question. Glad to hear it sounds great with the Audio Control, so I am now happy the installer recommended it. I know you can pick one up on audionmore.com as well as some others, just do a google search for audi control eqs
