Alpine Type R or JL W3v3

I blew my Alpine Type R yesterday and was wondering what sub I should replace it with.

I have a Alpine M605
its 600 watts at 2 ohm
and 400 watts at 4ohm
also have a regular ported box with 1.25 ft.

I was either going to replace it with another Type R because I can get a Type R for around 100 bucks. Or get a JL W3v3.

Any suggestions to replace the sub I'll spend around 200 bucks.

Just got back to listening to the W3 was not very impressed for a 240 dollar sub. I rather just spend the 110 bucks I spent on my Alpine Type R again.

I was thinking of getting a Type X but I would need a lot more power.

Do you think 600 watts to the Type X will be enough power in a 1.25 of air space box. (Rec is 500-1000 watts)

If you can go listen to the W3 you wont be impressed if you listen to the Type R it blows the W3 away. And my amp will end up blowing the W3. Now I'm going with a Type X for $280 maybe or another Type R for $140.

I really do not want to change my amp which is the Alpine M605.

i think should be able to get away with running ur current amp with a type x. what size do u plan on gettin10 or 12 inch cuz i think ur amp should be able to handle the 10 inch but the 12 inch might run ur amp really hard and over heat ur amp eventually if u play it for a long time
